Nicola Kiim FinlaysonNicola Kim Finlayson trained in Germany as a psychologist and psychotherapist and began practising as a psychotherapist in Golden Bay in 2000.

As a tenant of the Workcentre she is very happy to be a part of... "A place with a friendly open atmosphere, and people who are cheerful, warm and helpful ".

Nicola considers the most satisfying part of her job to be.... "Helping people to feel good about themselves and their lives" and she finds that... "Witnessing clients 'coming out the other end' gives me a deep satisfaction."


Carol Parkinson-Jones

My name is Carol Parkinson-Jones. I have a room behind the Workcentre in which I conduct counselling and family therapy sessions. I have a Masters Degree in social work, a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and I am a member of NZAC (NZ Association of Counsellors).

I am passionate about group work and have run many psychodrama groups since my return to Golden Bay.

Carol Parkingson-JonesMy background includes five grown children, ten grandchildren and a long-term commitment to intentional community at Rainbow Valley. With the help of my husband, Simon, and many others I established Te Whare Mahana and the Rural Mental Health Outreach service during the 1990s.

My focus in life is to love others and this precious earth while having fun and making money.
