The Golden Bay Workcentre Trust seeks to enable individuals and groups to achieve self determination, create healthy and tolerant life-styles and exercise positive choices. It does this by providing facilities, resources, training and learning opportunities, community services and support.
Who could have guessed that a women's co-operative, formed in 1979 to manufacture fluffy sheepskin slippers, would evolve into the present day Golden Bay Workcentre?
From then until now the staff of the Workcentre have assisted hundreds of individuals in realising their potential and have nurtured and supported the development of numerous community organisations and small businesses and even created a few themselves!
This website, accessible from the site map, will allow you to meet the people who run the Golden Bay Workcentre and gain information about the courses and range of activities in progress.
